On April 27, the first session English
training class of Zhongman Oil & Gas officially kicked off in Wensu County,
Xinjiang. The training will last for six months and involve 91 employees.
Through systematic and specialized customized teaching, it aims to
comprehensively enhanced the employees’ professional English skills, build a
high-quality international talent team, establish an English talent pool, and
solidify the talent foundation for ZPEC’s internationalization strategy.
At the opening ceremony, ZPEC Chairman Li
Chundi delivered an important speech addressing the group’s development
situation. He noted that the group had successfully achieved its strategic
transformation from drilling engineering service and equipment manufacturing to
oil & gas resource exploration and development, had stepped into a critical
stage of “major transformation, major adjustment, and major development.”
Relying on the Group’s integration advantages, featuring an early start of production
capacity construction, complete system and mature operations, Aksu Oilfield has
achieved steady growth in production capacity and maintains stable, positive
performance in its overall management and operations. The special English
training is a key initiative of ZPEC group to deepen talent development and
empower strategic implementation. As the Group’s talent cultivation base, Aksu
Oilfield will continuously scale up talent devotement efforts. Through
systematic and regular training, it will select and supply key talents in batches
to support overseas project construction. He encouraged all trainees to cherish
the valuable learning opportunity, actively strengthen the awareness of self-initiated
learning, engage in assiduous learning and rigorous practice, and attain
substantial progress in learning and apply knowledge into practical work. The dual improvement of comprehensive
literacy and professional skills will bolster the steady progression of the
Group’s international strategic deployment.
Li Xuesong, Senior Vice President of the
Group and General Manager of Zhongman Oil & Gas, stated in his mobilization
speech that the Aksu Oilfield, as a strategic pivot project of the Group, bears
the dual responsibilities of production capacity construction and talent
cultivation. Professional English ability had become key to breaking down
communication barriers, ensuring project operation, and enhancing career
competitiveness. In light of actual work, he put forward three requirements for
all trainees: first, increase awareness, cherish the opportunity, and devote to
diligent research and in-depth learning; second, apply what they learn to their
positions, effectively transforming knowledge into work capability; third,
strictly observe discipline, learn diligently and make progress together, and
foster a sense of lifelong learning. He hopes all trainees will fully immerse
themselves in learning, improve their professional English proficiency, take
responsibility in their roles, and contribute to the Group’s high-quality
development.
It is understood that this training invites
a professional teaching team from Xinjiang Institute of Technology. Based on
the participants’ foundation levels, the classes are divided into beginner and
advanced levels. The course content precisely covers professional fields such
as basic oil production terminology, oil production processes, equipment
operation, safety, and HSE management. Various teaching formats are adopted,
including English quizzes, group competitions, role-playing, English corner
exchanges, and vocabulary check-ins, to help trainees master public English,
professional oil production English, and vocabulary and sentence patterns
related to field operations. The goal is to comprehensively improve their
all-scenario English abilities, including daily communication, work report,
emergency instruction transmission, and cross-team collaboration, effectively
meeting the actual needs of internationalized operations and daily office work
at oilfield site.
