On May 10, 2021, Hong 27-1 Well’s trial production produced over 50 tons of very good quality crude oil per day. This is the second high oil production well, after Hong 26 Well on April 24, with 32 tons per day production.  Both wells are adjacent to each other in the Wensu Wenbei Oilfield.

According to the evaluation of geological experts, the thick reservoirs drilled in the two wells are located in the Sinian buried hill carbonate formation. Compared with the previous Wen7 block wells, the reservoir is found in the sandstone formation.  The exploration potential is greater, indicating a major exploration and development breakthrough in the Wenbei Oilfield.
