During the International Labor Day holidays, the employees of ZPEC’s two major bases, Shanghai and Chengdu, gave up their vacation time with families to work overtime to catch up with the rushed construction schedule to ensure that the two rigs of the Saudi Drilling Project were delivered on time.

On March 28, 2021, Zhongman Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Corp. Ltd. (ZPEC ) and Saudi Arabia Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) signed a $120M USD contract (~787M RMB) for drilling projects. Since the beginning of April, ZPEC Equipment Group Company has been responsible for the manufacturing of two sets of 850 Drilling Rigs. Under the arrangement and deployment of the Company, ZPEC’s Shanghai Base has undertaken the design, installation, and commissioning of mud pumps, generator rooms, and other parts. At the ZPEC Chendu Base, the Kunlun Company undertook the welding production of mud tanks and skids, while the Electric Control Company undertook the installation and production of the electric control room, electrical equipment, etc. The Shanghai and Chengdu Bases, as well as the related cooperative manufacturers, complement each other's advantages and clear division of work while doing everything possible to fulfill the task on time. At present, the manufacturing work of the two sets of drilling rigs has come to an end.  This marks the first time after completion that rigs will be shipped to the site of the Saudi Drilling Project.
