On August 28^th, Mr. Bohari, PETRONAS Iraq Country Manager, led a delegation to visit ZPEC Rig 29 at the Garraf Oilfield for inspection, guidance, and to learn about the rig’s operations.

During the inspection, Bohari and his delegation heard a report from Project Manager Zhong Kun on the overall operations of the PETRONAS Project. Since the Project commenced, ZPEC Rig 29 has overcome complex geological conditions and extreme weather challenges. By optimizing drilling parameters, strengthening equipment maintenance, and refining operating procedures, the crew has strictly implemented all construction requirements.

The delegation then visited the operation site, where they inspected the mud circulation system, well-control equipment, and safety and emergency facilities. They made detailed inquiries about key aspects such as real-time downhole data monitoring, lost-circulation prevention measures, and emergency response drills.

During the discussion session, Bohari noted that ZPEC Rig 29 has clear advantages in operational efficiency and cost control, and that the team has demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and a strong spirit of collaboration. He expressed the hope that all crew members would maintain a proactive attitude and make further contributions to deepening cooperation between the two sides.

Zhong Kun expressed appreciation to PETRONAS, as the client, for its on-site guidance and pledged to take this inspection as an opportunity to further strengthen internal management, optimize operating procedures, strictly comply with all operating standards, and make every effort to ensure safe and efficient operations.
