ZPEC Holds Ceremony for Completion of Phase 8 “Spark Program” Orientation Training

On July 15th, ZPEC Group held a ceremony at Shanghai Lingang Production Base to mark the completion of the Phase 8 “Spark Program” Orientation training for the new recruits. Young talent from renowned universities, including China University of Petroleum, China University of Geosciences, and Nanyang Technological University, successfully completed the 14-day intensive training, formally marking the start of their new journey from campus to career and from theory to practice. Bo Qiliang, Executive President of ZPEC, Qiu Mingliang, Chief Financial Officer, and Li Shujie, Assistant to the President, attended the ceremony. 

Mr. Li Shiguang, President of ZPEC, delivered an online speech to the new employees from Beijing via video link. He began by outlining the Group’s current context of “major transformation, major adjustment, and major development.” He encouraged the newcomers to stay humble in learning, be diligent in their work, and proactively adapt to the demanding field and overseas environments. He urged them to perform even the simplest tasks to perfection and to hone their professional skills through handson practice at the grassroots. He also stressed the importance of strictly adhering to safety red lines, paying close attention to both physical and mental health, maintaining an optimistic and proactive mindset, and communicating promptly whenever difficulties arise. He called on them to always have a grateful heart, to place full trust in the Company’s development platform, and to work steadfastly together with the Company to build ZPEC’s centurylong blueprint. In his concluding remarks, he encouraged all young employees to firmly believe in the value of hard work, to resonate with the Company’s vision and move forward in tandem, and to write a fulfilling chapter of youthful responsibility through their practical actions while carrying forward the spirit of the “IronBlooded Journey.”

Bo Qiliang, Executive President of ZPEC, also delivered a speech at the ceremony. Drawing on his over 40 years of experience in the petroleum industry, he shared his personal journey and reflections with the young employees and offered them his earnest expectations. He encouraged them to cherish their youth and strive with steadfast dedication. He urged them to always bear in mind the seven career expectations set forth by Chairman Li of ZPEC Group, and to maintain both youthful vitality and a rigorous, conscientious approach to their work. He stressed the importance of successfully completing the transition from students to working professionals, balancing ideals with reality, and growing continuously through the integration of knowledge and action. He called on them to make full use of ZPEC’s broad development platform, carry forward the spirit of the “IronBlooded Journey and the Companys family culture, start from small tasks, stay pragmatic and grounded, and build their credibility through attention to detail. He also encouraged them to take a longterm view of their career, proactively reflect on the value of their positions, consistently enhance their capabilities, and grow in tandem with the Company, achieving mutual success. In his concluding remarks, he urged all young employees to stay rooted in the core business, take concrete actions, and contribute to the Company’s development goal of becoming an internationally renowned hightech integrated energy company.

Xue Ruixia, Deputy Director of Human Resources, reviewed the overall organization, curriculum support, and trainee management of this phase’s training program. She encouraged the trainees to regard the completion ceremony as a new starting point for their role transition, to head to their posts with dreams, build their careers at the frontlines, and grow through practical work.

At the ceremony, the trainees watched a training recap video. An excellent team and outstanding trainees were selected and recognized. Wang Enze, on behalf of the new employees, shared his reflections and expressed that he would hone his skills through overseas worksite and repay the Group with concrete contributions. Following that, a swearing-in ceremony was held, where all new employees took a solemn oath to uphold professional integrity, remain pragmatic and responsible, prioritize production safety, and carry forward ZPEC’s “IronBlooded Journeyspirit. Finally, the attending leaders and trainees posed for a group photo.

It is understood that since the Phase 8 “Spark Program” new employee training commenced on July 1st, leaders of ZPEC Group, department heads, and industry experts have delivered lectures in person, sharing their extensive experience and handson expertise accumulated over the years without reserve, and pointing out directions for the young employees’ growth. Upon completion of the training, the trainees will be assigned to frontline project sites in Iraq, Kazakhstan, and Xinjiang for field internships, combining learning with practice to accelerate their transition from campus to the workplace, injecting a steady stream of youthful energy into the Group’s global business development.
