On June 17th, ZPEC Drilling held a ceremony at the Shanghai Lingang Production Base to mark the completion of a three-month centralized training program for a whole-team class destined for a new overseas project. This intensive training has laid a solid talent foundation for the company’s continued expansion in overseas markets and its international business growth.
The ceremony was attended by senior leadership, including Li Chundi, Chairman of ZPEC Group, Bo Qiliang, Executive President of ZPEC Group, and Li Huifeng, General Manager of ZPEC Drilling. All 89 trainees of the whole-team training program were present at the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Song Yaohui, Rig Manager of ZPEC Team 18, spoke as an outstanding trainee representative. He shared his learning journey and the valuable insights he gained from the training program. He expressed his determination to apply this knowledge to his overseas role, strictly adhere to the safety red line, and fully comply with all operational standards. He also committed to fully demonstrating his leading role as a key team member, using his solid expertise and pragmatic approach to remain at the forefront of overseas operations, thereby contributing to the high‑quality development of the company’s international projects.
Bo Qiliang noted in his speech that ZPEC’s brand and image are increasingly well-recognized both at home and abroad thanks to ZPEC drilling teams’ solid technical expertise and exemplary work ethic. He emphasized that foreign language proficiency is a core competitive advantage for international development and urged all overseas key personnel to actively use and practice their English skills, continuously improving their language competence to adapt to the management and operational demands of a global workforce. He encouraged all trainees to carry forward the “Iron Man Spirit” and ZPEC’s “Iron‑Blooded Journey”, striving to become the backbone of the company’s overseas expansion. He also called on everyone to reinforce grassroots and fundamental management, strictly implement “three basics, three standardizations, two documents, and one daily inspection form”, and advance the integrated development of drilling engineering and business coordination, meanwhile proactively exploring cutting-edge intelligent and digital-intelligent drilling technologies, continuously enhancing their management capabilities, and consolidating and passing on the valuable experience of outstanding rig teams. All such work will be in contribution to building a “Century ZPEC”.
Li Huifeng, in his concluding remarks, fully affirmed the trainees’ learning efficiency and diligent efforts, as well as the teaching team’s dedication to the program. He noted that the training effectively addressed the gaps in overseas operational capability among personnel, significantly improving their risk management, equipment operations and maintenance, and foreign language communication skills. The overall training outcomes met the company’s expectations. He urged the trainees, upon assuming their posts, to promptly review and consolidate what they had learned, and to apply theoretical knowledge to practical work at overseas sites. While ensuring safety, they should take on leadership roles to strengthen team cohesion and share their experience with colleagues. He also encouraged them to dedicate themselves to overseas project construction with a strict and pragmatic work ethic, thereby upholding the Group’s brand reputation in overseas projects.
In the near future, all trainees at the
ceremony will be fully prepared to depart for overseas frontline assignments.
They are expected to strictly implement the training requirements, apply
theoretical knowledge in practice, adhere to safety standards without
compromise, and demonstrate leadership, in order to
contribute to the stable operation and business expansion of overseas
projects.
