Recently, the Bureau of Science and Technology of Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, released a public notice of project grant approval for the 2026 Aksu Prefecture Science and Technology Innovation Grant. The project, titled “Blockage Cause Analysis and High-Efficiency Control for Production Enhancement”, submitted by ZPEC Oil & Gas, was successfully selected and awarded a grant of 100,000 CNY (~15,000 USD) to carry out the research. This grant further enhances the company’s capacity for technological innovation.

The project focuses on addressing the issue of reservoir plugging. It systematically analyzes the plugging components, formation mechanisms, and contributing factors, and develops a new type of unplugging agent featuring low formation damage and high dissolution performance, along with a customized technical solution for reservoir treatment. After implementation, the project is expected to effectively resolve well plugging issues in the block and significantly enhance oil and gas production efficiency, as well as production capacity performance.

Going forward, the Company will ensure the grant funds are used properly in accordance with relevant regulations and will advance the project to achieve tangible results with high quality and on schedule. Meanwhile, based on the developmental needs of the oil and gas industry in Aksu, the Company will continue to address production challenges, steadily increase investment in technological innovation and R & D, and focus on key technologies for stable and increased oil and gas production. By applying new practical technologies, the Company aims to support the innovation-driven development of the regional oil and gas industry.

It is said that the science and technology innovation grant program of Aksu Prefecture is established based on an "awards-for-innovation” model. It focuses on supporting high-tech enterprises in tackling key technological challenges, developing new products, enhancing the capabilities of innovation platforms, and promoting the commercialization and dissemination of research outcomes. With an emphasis on areas such as oil and gas production and processing, the program seeks to drive deep integration between the innovation chain and the industrial chain, thereby facilitating local industrial upgrading, improving quality, and increasing efficiency.
