On April 28^th at 10:00 am, Egypt local time, ZPEC Chairman Li Chundi paid a special visit to the Chinese Embassy in Egypt and held a symposium with Ambassador Zhang Tao. The two sides had an in-depth exchange on topics such as promoting people's livelihood projects under the "Belt and Road Initiative” and supporting local economic and social development, reaching a broad consensus. Zhao Wutao, the General Manager of ZPEC Egypt Company, also attended the meeting.

Ambassador Zhang Tao reviewed the previous visits on the Aswan Project of ZPEC Egypt and highly praised the efficient relocation and operation performance of the ZPEC 's self-developed fast-moving tower drilling rig in the desert environment. He pointed out that as a representative of Chinese private enterprises, ZPEC has closely integrated its development with the "Belt and Road Initiative”, creating technologically advanced and people's livelihood-oriented projects in Egypt, which demonstrates the sense of responsibility of Chinese enterprises. The embassy would continue to provide comprehensive support for the enterprise and hoped that ZPEC would continue to strengthen compliance operations and deeply participate in Egypt's economic and social development.

Chairman Li Chundi expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in Egypt for its long-term support for ZPEC Group and systematically introduced the international layout and development achievements of the ZPEC's four major business sectors: Equipment Manufacturing, Engineering Services, Exploration and Production, and International Trade. He said that in the nine years since ZPEC had been deeply involved in the Egyptian market, more than 620 wells have been completed, which have benefited local agricultural development and people's livelihoods, becoming a benchmark project for China-Egypt practical cooperation. In particular, the enterprise's introduction of oil drilling technology into the field of water well engineering and the innovative application of self-developed technologies, such as foam drilling, have greatly improved drilling efficiency and driven technological upgrades in the same industry in Egypt. This vividly practices the mutually beneficial and win-win concept of jointly building the "Belt and Road". He went on to say that with the continuous deepening of China-Egypt relations, ZPEC would seize the opportunity to further expand cooperation in fields such as agricultural development and import and export trade while promoting existing projects, injecting new momentum into China-Egypt strategic cooperation.

 During the talks, the two sides also exchanged views on topics such as agricultural project investment and cross-border RMB settlement. (Hao Donglei)
