On the morning of August 1st, 2024, the ZPEC Intelligent Research Institute was established, including an unveiling ceremony, at ZPEC’s Lin-gang Base in Shanghai. This marked a new stage of "Digital Intelligence Transformation" in the development of Zhongman Group's equipment product research and development.

ZPEC Chairman Li Chundi, Senior Vice President Ye Jifeng, the leadership team of ZPEC Equipment Group Company, and more than 70 employees from the Lin-gang Base in Shanghai witnessed this important moment together.

At the unveiling ceremony, Li Jing, the Deputy General Manager of ZPEC Equipment Group Company, introduced the significant meaning and future development direction of the ZPEC Intelligent Research Institute. He stated that the establishment of the Intelligent Research Institute would build a multi-functional development platform for ZPEC, integrating innovative research and development with practical application, technology demonstration and achievement transformation, and the introduction and incubation of scientific and technological talents. This will propel the company to achieve more breakthrough results in the fields of intelligent, information, and digital transformation in the oil industry.

Senior Vice President Ye Jifeng congratulated the establishment of ZPEC Intelligent Research Institute, stating that the Intelligent Research Institute signifies that the intelligent research of ZPEC Manufacturing Unit has entered a standardized and systematic stage. It implies a significant transformation in the direction of equipment manufacturing from traditional manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing.

Regarding the upcoming work, Mr. Ye emphasized the following points: First, it is necessary to clarify the research positioning of intelligent manufacturing equipment and to define the future development direction and focus. At this stage, the focus is to serve ZPEC's Drilling Engineering, Exploration and Production, and Equipment Manufacturing sectors. In the future, it should consider both internal and external markets, with a focus on the external and the forefront of the industry. Second, value talent, as talent is the primary element of scientific and technological research. Consider the recruitment, utilization, and retention of personnel, ensuring that talents are attracted, retained, and utilized effectively. Third, pay attention to industry dynamics and consider introducing mature technologies that have been researched, and optimize them. It is important to use mature technologies while also having independent research and achievements. Fourth, clarify goals, be down-to-earth, combine internal and external markets, and integrate virtual and practical approaches to apply our research results to our engineering and oilfield operations. After the goals and tasks are clear, they should be applied to practical work.

Finally, amidst the loud sound of ceremonial cannons, the leaders of the ZPEC Group and the ZPEC Equipment Manufacturing Group jointly unveiled the ZPEC Intelligent Research Institute, taking a group photo to commemorate the event.
