To commemorate the unforgettable journey of the development and construction of the Aksu Oilfield, on October 6^th, ZPEC Petroleum held an unveiling ceremony for the Discovery Well Monument in Wen 7 Block at the site of the Wen 7 Oil Production Well. The Group leaders encouraged the employees of ZPEC Petroleum to remember their responsibilities and missions, and contribute to the high-quality development of the oilfield.

Li Chundi, Chairman, Li Shiguang, Senior Vice President, Shi Mingxin, Secretary of the Board of Directors, Zeng Ying, Vice President, Li Xuesong, Vice President and General Manager of ZPEC (Aksu) Oil & Gas Company, Zhang Yan, Chairman Secretary, and the cadres and employees from relevant departments of the Group, Drilling Company, and ZPEC Oilfield Service and Equipment Group attended the ceremony. The total number of attendees was over 100.

Li Shiguang, Senior Vice President, presided over the ceremony, and Li Xuesong, Vice President of ZPEC, and General Manager of ZPEC Petroleum and Natural Gas Company, delivered a speech, stating that the successful oil testing of Wen 7 Well was like a golden key, opening the door to exploration and development in Wen 7 Block, starting the exploration and development of Wensu Block, and launching a mass campaign between Chinese private enterprises and organizations. Next, for the Aksu Oilfield, ZPEC will continue to focus on the Group’s goal of increasing storage and production, accelerating the integration of exploration, evaluation, and construction, strengthening the construction of talent teams by clarifying responsibilities, strictly evaluating performance, creating an entrepreneurial environment for the managers, and enhancing the employees' sense of ownership. By fully devoting to the battle in the oil and gas exploration and development, a comprehensive victory in terms of the oil and gas exploration and development goals will be achieved, thus building the large-scale oil and gas field as soon as possible.

Subsequently, Li Shiguang, Li Xuesong, Shi Mingxin, and Zhang Yan jointly unveiled the Wen 7 Discovery Well Monument. As the red silk slowly fell, the monument engraved with the text "ZPEC Wen 7 Discovery Well" and the pattern of oil pumping units came into view, and a burst of applause sounded on the scene. The participants posed for group photos to commemorate this important moment together.

In 2018, ZPEC Petroleum seized the opportunity of opening up of the national oil and gas resources to private enterprises by actively fitting into the national energy development strategy. They successfully won the 1,086.26 km² petroleum and gas exploration rights in Wensu Block of Tarim Basin in Xinjiang with 867 million yuan, becoming the first private enterprise to obtain the oil and gas exploration rights through listing since the oil and gas reform in China. In recent years, significant breakthroughs have been made in the exploration of Wensu Block by relying on the integrated advantages of drilling engineering, equipment manufacturing, and exploration and development of the Group. Within the scope of 377 km² of the completed 3D seismic acquisition, multiple wells such as Wenbei Oilfield, Hongqipo Oilfield, Saike Oilfield, and Kekeya Oilfield have been successfully discovered. High oil and gas production have been achieved, and crude oil production has rapidly increased, marking the beginning of the construction of a million-ton oilfield.

Wen 7 Well is the discovery well of the Wenbei Oilfield, structurally located in the Wensu uplift on the northwest edge of the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang. It is geographically located about 6 km in the northwest of Wensu County. In May 2019, well testing and liquid discharge was carried out to acquire production for Wen 7 Well with a stable daily crude oil output is 8 m³. Additionally, 23 layers with indication of oil and gas were discovered throughout the well, announcing the birth of the discovery well in the ZPEC Wensu Block.
