On September 12, 2022, good news came from ZPEC Aksu Oilfield.  The perforation operation of Well Hong 51-1 was completed successfully in the domestic market by ZPEC Oilfield Service Company for the first time. This marks  that ZPEC’s integrated service capabilities in the Aksu Oilfield were raised to a new level.

 This perforation operation adopts the tubing transmission mode and is jointly implemented by ZPEC’s Logging Team and Downhole Operations Team. In order to ensure the success and effect of the operation, the ZPEC Logging Team adopted ultra-penetrating deep perforating charges. They used the dual ignition head method, in which the upper part adopted the safety mechanical ignition head as the main ignition head and the lower part adopted the pressure delay ignition head as the backup. This method effectively reduces the pollution to the formation, thus protecting the oil and gas formation and increasing production.

 Since the exploration and production of ZPEC Aksu Oilfield started, the Logging Team has been committed to better serving the job at hand. It has successively applied and obtained key qualifications, such as the Perforating Operation Certificate and Safety Production License. Perforation is a very important step in connecting oil and gas layers and wellbore.  It is also the most important link from drilling to oil production. Due to the involvement of explosive materials, it’s extremely complicated and hard to obtain the Perforation Certificate. There are very few private enterprises in China with a Perforation Certificate.  Most of the domestic companies with Perforation Certificates are state-owned enterprises.

 This perforation operation was during the Mid-Autumn Festival, in order to ensure that nothing goes wrong, the logging staffs traveled back and forth between the  explosive products warehouse and the well, which is 270 kilometers away, repeatedly to ensure that there would be no mistakes in the whole process from the warehouse to the well site.
