Recently, the Cementing Team of ZPEC Iraq ERIELL Project completed the cementing operation of the G114P Well. The first-class cementing quality was commended by ERIELL Company.  They praised the ZPEC Cementing Team for its excellent cementing operation and said ZPEC was a  “worthwhile and trusted cementing service contractor”.

As a separate cementing operation project, after the signing of the contract, the ZPEC Cementing Team established a timely and effective information sharing mechanism with the PETRONAS and ERIELL teams. They carefully designed, fully demonstrated, and continuously optimized the cementing technical plan.  After many internal discussions and rounds of indoor cement slurry formulation adjustments, the optimal cementing technical plan was finally formulated and achieved stable quality and incremental output.

During the cementing operation, they encountered many technical difficulties such as large well inclination, long open hole, active bottom water in the production layer, and low casing centering.  However, they overcame those difficulties and efficiently completed the mobilization, installation and commissioning of the K platform equipment within a week. The first operation was successfully completed on August 9, 2022, and the second platform of Well G114P’s production casing cementing job was successfully completed on August 24, thus realizing the stable output of cementing quality of the two platforms.

After the project was completed, the Drilling Superintendent of ERIELL, who was in charge of the cementing business, praised the Cementing Team and admitted that the G114P Well was the best 9-5/8 in production casing cementing quality he had ever seen.
