On August 30, 2022, the results of the third "Lingang Craftsman" selection, hosted by the Management Committee of Lingang New Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and undertaken by the Trade Union of Lingang New Area, were officially announced. Mr. Zheng Jie, from ZPEC Equipment Group, stood out from the candidates and won the title of "Lingang Craftsman", winning honors for the company and himself.

Since joining the company in February 2012, Zheng Jie has been mainly responsible for the design of the electric control system of the oil rig, including the Rig Electric Control Cabinet, Driller’s Cabin, Rig Air Control System, Hydraulic System, etc. In recent years, he has obtained five invention patents for the air control fault diagnosis system for the driller's cabin of ZPEC’s “Tuota Rig”, the Auto Catwalk, the Iron Rough Neck, and the Multi-functional Manipulator; one appearance design patent for the ZJ90DB Driller Cabin Integrated Seat; twelve utility model patents for products such as Integrated Hydraulic Disc Brakes , Automatic Positive Pressure Water Supply Systems, etc. In 2019, Zheng Jie won the Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Innovation Talent Award.

The "Lingang Craftsman" activity was launched in early March of this year. It aims to promote the spirit of model workers and craftsmen, and to cultivate a group of high-skilled talents with craftsmanship and superb skills from key industries such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, civil aviation, intelligent manufacturing industry, etc. This time only 40 outstanding skilled talents were awarded the "Lingang Craftsman".
