At 13:00 on September 15, 2021, Iraq local time, the ZPEC Cementing Team successfully and efficiently completed the cementing operation of the 9 5/8" oil layer casing in Well Ga-K123P of the Petronas Project, creating a new record for the best cementing quality of the same-sized oil layer casing since the start of the WPK platform. This is also the third high-quality well delivered by ZPEC Cementing Team since the resumption of the Petronas Project this year.

Well Ga-K123P is a three section well, with 45.68°high deviation, kicked off from 438 meters, and completed drilling at 3,090 meters. The last section of this well used 9 5/8" casing conventional double plug way to cement. Although facing difficulties such as large slope, limited displacement, and slower development of low-density strength of cement slurry, the cementing team finally found the most optimized engineering technical measures and the best cement formula.  They overcame the severe difficulties of the Iraqi epidemic, successfully and efficiently completed the cementing of the 9 5/8” section .

Since the resumption of the Petronas Project, ZPEC Cementing Team has completed the cementing operations of 3 wells with high quality in succession.  Among the three wells, the first 2 Ga-K118P Well and Ga-K122P Well were 4 section wells and were completed with 7”liner perforation.
