Good news came from the ZPEC Wenbei Oilfield on September 8, 2021. Red 26-3 Well and Red 26-6 Well, the two wells newly put into production, achieved stable and high production for three consecutive days. The total daily crude oil output of the two wells reached a maximum of 160.48 tons, which made the total daily output of Wenbei Oilfield exceed 700 tons in one fell swoop, further demonstrating the broad prospects of exploration and development in the Wensu Block.
Hong 26-3 Well and Hong 26-6 Well are structurally located in the Red 11 Block of the F1 Fault Zone in the Wensu Bulge, which are located to the northwest and northeast of the Hong 26 Well respectively. The drilling depth of Hong 26-3 is 2,140 meters and the depth of Hong 26-6 is 2,150 meters. The thick oil layers drilled by the two wells are located in the Sinian buried hill carbonate formation and the reservoir types are all fracture-cavity carbonate reservoirs.
ZPEC (Aksu) Oil Company carried out perforation operations on the two wells of Hong 26-3 and Hong 26-6 respectively on September 2, 2021, and carried out oil testing and flow back by using a combined production method on the second day. On September 5th, the two wells achieved a gratifying output of 139.1 tons of crude oil on the first day of oil production, and maintained this high production for 3 consecutive days, steadily increasing. The total daily crude oil output of the Red 26 platform was nearly 200 tons and the total daily crude oil output of the Wensu Block also exceeded 700 tons. Both figures set new records.
The drilling of these two appraisal wells enabled the company to further understand the reservoir conditions and accumulation rules in the middle of the F1 Fault Zone in the Hong 11 Block and to confirm the oil-bearing range of the Sinian in the Hong 26 anticline. This will greatly increase the daily crude oil production. It also lays a solid foundation for the declaration of proven reserves and further exploration and development in the Hong 26 Well area of Hong 11 Block.
