On August 6, 2021, the Sudong 014-113H2 Well, drilled by ZPEC Rig 15 Team, was successfully completed, creating records for the "longest horizontal section" and the "shortest drilling period" of any private drilling team in the Sudong Block of the Sulige Gas Field, Inner Mongolia.  ZPEC Rig 15 Team won the Commendation Award from Party A at the CNPC Sulige Natural Gas Development Project.

The Sudong 014-113H2 Well is located in the Yijinhuoluoqi Block of Inner Mongolia.  With a 5,437 meter long designed depth, it was completed at 5,425 meters. Beginning June 21st, it was completed on August 2, 2021. The 2,500-meter horizontal section was extremely difficult to drill. ZPEC set a new record in this area for drilling the longest horizontal section in the shortest drilling period in Sudong Block of Sulige Gas Field with a drilling period of 41.68 days.  These records were highly praised by Party A.

During the drilling operation, in the absence of advanced instruments and tools such as Auto Track and top drive, the leaders of ZPEC Drilling Company, Project Department, and other functional systems worked together and planned in advance by carefully reviewing the history of adjacent wells in order to overcome the difficulties caused by the epidemic, equipment, and geological complexities. Targeted formulation of operational plans, continuously optimized BHA and drilling fluid systems overcame many problems such as wellbore cleaning, friction reduction, trajectory control, ultra-high pump pressure, etc. The well was finished ahead of time and the whole process completed safely. This has once again written a strong mark for ZPEC Drilling Team in their Sulige Gas Field journey.
