At 15:00, August 10, 2021, Iraq local time, ZPEC Iraqi Petronas Project Rig 25 successfully passed the inspection of Party A and obtained the permission to spud. The drilling successfully began at a high temperature of more than 50 degrees, which opened the new prelude to the 16th extended reachable cluster well of the Petronas Project in Iraq’s Garraf Oilfield.

On January 28, 2021, ZPEC received the Notice of Preparation for Work Resumption from PETRONAS. With the full support of both ZPEC Headquarters and ZPEC Iraqi Company, ZPEC Petronas Project overcame the difficulties of severe COVID19 epidemic, long storage time of materials, and strict requirements of Party A, and spudded successfully at 15:00, March 22, 2021, Iraq local time.  As the first team to drill in the Garraf Oilfield, they completed the well 10 days ahead schedule.

This is the second contract signed between Petronas and ZPEC for 19 extended reachable wells drilling and completion service in the Garraf Oilfield, Iraq.
