With the perfect completion of the drilling of ZhenHua Project’s last well (EBSH-3), the ZhenHua Drilling Fluid Team, under the leadership of the Manager Wang Lijian, completed all of the drilling fluid technical service tasks for the eight wells in the contract. This achieved good economic benefits while establishing an excellent model of drilling fluid technical services in this area. The Drilling Department of ZhenHua highly recognized the drilling fluid technology and products of ZPEC, and sent a special letter of commendation praising the high-quality services, first-class products, and trustworthiness.

Since the establishment of the ZPEC ZhenHua Drilling Fluid Team in the early Summer of 2019, it has completed drilling fluid technical services for eight wells deployed by ZhenHua. Among them, the EBST-6-4H is the first large displacement horizontal well successfully drilled in the area. The ZPEC Team undertook the mud operation with a horizontal displacement of 1,200 meters, a final well deviation of 89 °, a vertical depth of 2,346.39 meters, and a deviation depth of 3, 758 meters. This demonstrates ZPEC’s high efficiency and high-quality drilling fluid technical services. There was leakage for another well, EBSH-3, with a total leakage and mud lossof 84.2 m³, due to encounter formation contained porous dolomitic limestone and was close to the fault when drilling Shuaiba formation. After physical plugging by the ZPEC ZhenHua Drilling Fluid Team, combined with the adjustment of some parameters of the project, the leakage was successfully blocked on the first try and normal drilling was resumed. This set an excellent example of taking the initiative to deal with emergencies quickly and successfully in this locale.

Over the past two years, the Drilling Fluid Technical Service Team as ZhenHua Party B has operated in strict accordance with the drilling fluid standards and procedures specified by ZhenHua, have good technical service awareness and skills in their work, conscientiously completed various technical work of drilling fluid for each well, and won high praise from Party A.
