On August 2, 2021, the closure of the main valve of the Christmas tree and the recovery of the wellhead at the ZPEC (Iraq) Petronas Project marked the full completion of Well K122.  The well was completed 2.83 days in advance and was highly praised by Party A.

The team of ZPEC planned and prepared for the operation in advance in order to ensure the efficient completion of Well K122.  They did a good job in the communication and coordination of various departments in combination with previous experience and precautions, so as to ensure that each operator had a clear division of labor with all responsibilities in place and close connections at each step. Since Party A of the Petronas Project had stored more than 250 old oil tubings on-site, based on the principle of cost saving and mutual benefit for Party A, the string design of Well K122 called for only half new pipes in order to minimize the possible risks. The team of ZPEC also repeatedly communicated with Party A for clarification, cancelled the midway test of the completion string, and adopted one time string sealing test, which saved well-completion time.

Despite the extremely high temperatures in the Garraf Oilfield, the men of ZPEC met the difficulties and completed the operation efficiently. When the PDG equipment was finally connected and the control panel displayed temperature and pressure data, Party A's supervisor  gave a thumbs up to praise the "Good Job" of ZPEC’s team, and recorded the video excitedly and sent it to the leaders of the Petronas Project Base immedately.
