At 3:00pm March 22^nd, 2021, the ZPEC PETRONAS Turnkey Project in Iraq received Notice of Preparation for Work Resumption from PETRONAS. As the bit began rotating, ZPEC Rig 25 started to drill again after a one year and six day suspension due to COVID19.

Mr. Li Chundi, Chairman of the Board of ZPEC, sent his congratulations to PETRONAS Project almost at the same time. He requested PETRONAS Project cadres and employees to carry out fine management, perform good coordination under the premise of ensuring safety, optimize the allocation of resources, and to fully engage the integration advantages of ZPEC. The management team of PETRONAS Project conveyed Mr. Li’s requirements to the teams and promised that they would try their best to carry out the drilling operation efficiently and successfully.

At present, six drilling rigs of four projects have fully resumed in the Iraq market and two teams of BP Projects will start to drill in May.
