At 3:00 am on February 11^th, with the installation of the Christmas tree completed, the ZB-487 Well, drilled by ZPEC Drilling Team 27 in the Iraqi Zubair Oil area, was officially delivered 9 days earlier than the design time. The record for the fastest construction in the Zubair Oilfield was highly praised by Party A.

The ZB-487 Well had a design depth of 3,634 meters and a completion depth of 3,617 meters. The designed drilling cycle was 38 days. It was the first well that ZPEC completed in the block after the resumption during the pandemic. After receiving the official letter from Party A in November 2020, the project started. During the relocation to Well ZB-484, everyone carried forward the “Spirit of the Iron and Blood Journey” of ZPEC. The relocation and drilling rig installation were completed in just 7.5 days. On the afternoon of January 2^nd, 2021, because of the full preparations, the team passed the review and acceptance of Party A, Halliburton, and ENI, and successfully started drilling on the afternoon of January 13^th. Once again Team 27 won the shortest time to move and start drilling among the well teams in the Halliburton block.

During the construction process, the well team strengthened communication with Party A, continued to learn and summarize, recorded all the experience and lessons of the block, registered and shared the problems that occurred, and formulated response plans and plans with ZPEC characteristics based on their actual conditions. In order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, the ZPEC Team 27 was coordinated and organized to ensure the continuity of production. The safety officer and the leader of the shift performed their duties, planned in advance, and proceeded in an orderly manner, thus eliminating the suspension and zero-day fees caused by the lack of organization or equipment maintenance. In the end, all operations were completed in only 28.3 days. The task and goal were achieved safely and quickly.
