In the afternoon of February 5^th, 2021, Jianqiang Xue, Secretary of Wensu County Party Committee, went to the Hong 6-1 well site of ZPEC’s Aksu Branch to visit and pay respect to the ZPEC employees who were fighting on the front line.

ZPEC’s Deputy General Manager, Xuesong Li, introduced the recent work of the ZPEC Drilling Team to Secretary Xue in detail. Secretary Xue visited the site and listened to the report and learned about the production and living conditions during the New Year’s Spring Festival. He expressed his affirmation and praise to the frontline oil workers who responded to the call of the county party committee and the government to celebrate the New Year at Wensu. He said, “ZPEC has been silently contributing to the development of Wensu County, especially since the pandemic. ZPEC has actively responded to the national call and overcame various difficulties, focusing on exploration, development, and safe production on the one hand, and the prevention and control of the pandemic on the other hand. During the Spring Festival this year, ZPEC employees actively responded to the government's call for pandemic prevention and control and insisted on celebrating the New Year in Wensu. He expressed his gratitude to ZPEC for its understanding and support.

Later, on behalf of the county party committee and the government, Secretary Xue personally gave New Year's red envelope gifts to the ZPEC employees who were fighting on the front line.  He specifically urged everyone to reasonably arrange normal vacations for employees on the basis of strict implementation for epidemic prevention and control so as to achieve a combination of work and rest.  He acknowledged ZPEC’s good job of logistics support for its employees during the holiday, especially the good job of the "table project", to let employees eat satisfactory and delicious meals, and to spend a warm and peaceful Spring Festival in Wensu!

After inspecting the drilling operation site and staff dormitory of ZPEC, Secretary Xue asked in detail about the schedule of duty during the festival, the production situation, and the living conditions of the employees.  He encouraged the staff of ZPEC to strengthen its fine management practices and to establish a foothold in the new year. By carrying forward the “Spirit of the Iron-Blood Journey”, the drilling personnel of ZPEC would not be afraid of hardship and tiredness, but would use new ideas and a positive mental outlook to make persistent efforts, pioneering and innovating, and creating new achievements. At the same time, he said that it was necessary to tighten the string of safety at all times, to strengthen inspections and maintenance of key parts and key links, to ensure that all types of equipment and fire-fighting equipment were in good operating condition, and, lastly, to implement safety measures with details to ensure the safe and stable operation of various tasks during the Festival.

Aksu Zhongman Oil & Gas Company was registered in Wensu County on March 6th, 2018. For more than two years, with the care and help of Aksu Prefecture Committee and Wensu County government departments, all employees of ZPEC have been united, making significant progress, and continue their efforts to increase oil and gas exploration and development. Up to now, 42 wells have been drilled and evaluated in the Wensu Block with an exploration success rate of 94.4%, 27 wells have been opened, the daily oil production capacity is 220 tons, the cumulative sales of crude oil is 41650.61 tons, and the various taxes, such as mineral resources and farmland occupation tax, have been paid. It is estimated that the number of wells to be opened in 2021 will reach 94, with an annual output of 175,000 tons of oil. As a local enterprise, ZPEC will closely link the overall local planning.  With oil and gas exploration and development projects as the starting point, ZPEC will vigorously explore and increase reserves, and build a production capacity of 500,000 to 600,000 tons as soon as possible.  Achieve safe, green, sustainable and efficient development of oil fields will serve Wensu County as well as allowing ZPEC to build a petrochemical highland in the five western counties while becoming an excellent private enterprise in the Aksu area that pays taxes according to law and solves local employment issues.
