In the afternoon of February 12^th, ZPEC Iraq's Petronas Project Completion Team received the approval to resume from Party A. After 333 days of suspension of work due to the Iraqi pandemic, resumption of work finally began. All inspection items were qualified and the off-line acidification oil test took the lead in construction. On the first day of the Chinese New Year, this new year gift was presented to the company.

The Petronas Project is located in the Garraf Oilfield. After the signing of the contract in 2018, two well teams successively broke the record of the shortest start-up time of any ZPEC overseas projects with outstanding work performance. Due to the global pandemic, the oil region announced that it would suspend the work on March 17^th, 2020. The employees of ZPEC carefully organized and packed the equipment, repaired the equipment and materials, and got themselves ready to resume work at any time. On December 18th, 2020, in view of the effective prevention and control of the pandemic, the risk was greatly reduced. Party A notified ZPEC that it could start preparing for the resumption of the completion of the contract. On January 18^th, 2021, Party A’s notice of project resumption was issued.

On February 2^nd, all personnel of the Completion Team arrived in Iraq and immediately began the intensive preparation work to carry out equipment installation, commissioning, and functional testing. Because of the effective organization and adequate preliminary preparations, ZPEC achieved the goal of smooth construction through acceptance in just 11 days. 

Li Yong, chief executive of the field completion operation manager, said: "we temporarily put aside tour desire for family reunions during the Spring Festival, and not be afraid of the grim situation of COVID-19, it is a call for mission and responsibility. We will continue to tackle tough problems at the well site, and hand over an excellent answer to the company and Party A.

At present, with the full support of the ZPEC Iraqi branch, the whole project is working together to speed up the progress of other follow-up  resumption work in Garraf oil field.
