After the long-distance relocation from the Shaanxi-Gansu-Mongolia Industrial Zones to the Wensu Block in Xinjiang, on January 31st, ZPEC’s Drilling Team 12 successfully started drilling the Hong 6-1 Well. So far, ZPEC has deployed 5 drilling teams and 4 workover teams to the oilfield. Together, with the ZPEC Oilfield Development, Technical Service, and Equipment Manufacturing Teams, the curtain of the Spring production battle has opened.

The Hong 6-1 Well is located in the Hongqipo Oil Field Hong 6 Fault Anticline Area of the F2 Fault Zone in the North of the Wensu Uplift. It is a directional well with a design depth of 1,867.49 meters. Drilling Team 12 is responsible for the drilling engineering construction. Team 1, Team 4, Team 13, and Team 14 are also rapidly launching equipment installation and drilling operations in the Hongqipo Oilfield area. After these wells are completed, the reservoir distribution and oil and gas content of the Hongqipo Oilfield will be evaluated before obtaining oil from the area. The parameter data required for geological research provides an important basis, laying a solid foundation for block development and deployment and capacity construction.    

In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the Wensu oil production campaign in the Spring, the production support units of the group closely follow the production step of each drilling team and follow up on the preparation progress.  Well-site surveys, pre-drilling construction, equipment removal, and the drilling and construction of each well are all measured in order to increase oil and gas exploration and to make a good start for the new year.

At the site of the Hong 6-1 Well, Liancai Chen, Team 12 Platform Manager, told reporters with high spirits: "Position is the responsibility, and we must take the responsibility. All the staff on our team will stick to their posts and fight day and night to catch up on progress and improve efficiency, to greet the arrival of the New Year in a unique way, and to use first-class construction performance to contribute to the Spring reserve and production campaign."

At present, in addition to the Wenqi Block, which has been approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources, ZPEC has also made major discoveries in the Hongqipo and Saike Oilfields The 3D seismic acquisitions have been completed.  There are areas of 709 square kilometers within the scope of prospecting rights that have not been fully explored, yet have also successively demonstrated high-yield industrial oil streams.
