2020 was an extraordinary year in the development history of the ZPEC. Facing the dual impact of the global pandemic and low oil prices, the majority of cadres and employees worked together to tackle tough problems and a large number of advanced collectives and individuals have emerged. On December 29th, at the 2020 Year-end Summary and the 2021 Work Conference, ZPEC solemnly commended the 11 advanced collectives and 291 advanced individuals that won awards, which further boosted the morale of the employees.

At the award ceremony, Shiguang Li, Senior Vice President of ZPEC, first announced the award decisions. 291 advanced individuals, outstanding project managers, and outstanding platform managers were awarded with outstanding contributions. Including the titles of Excellent Engineer, Ace Driller, and Excellent Technician, it reflects the company's emphasis on operating positions. In addition, there are special awards such as advanced market development, advanced safety work, and outstanding propaganda workers. They were all recommended and selected through organizational layers, adhering to overseas anti-epidemic work regulations with strict and hard-working technologies. In addition, 23 outstanding international employees were also commended at the meeting to stimulate the enthusiasm of the foreign employee team.

Subsequently, accompanied by cheerful music, Group Leaders such as Chairman Chundi Li, President Yun Zhang, and other Group Leaders boarded the rostrum to present awards to the representatives of advanced collectives and advanced employees.  They congratulated the winners, presented medals and certificates of affirmations for their hard work and an incentive to work harder in the coming year, and won warm applause from the participants.

Representatives from the Equipment Group, the Iraq Branch, the Akzo Company, and the Offshore Oil Engineering and Technical Service Company spoke successively.  They summarized the work of the past year based on their own actual experiences, expressed gratitude to the company's leaders and colleagues, and pledged to continue to do their own future work with unremitting efforts in order to contribute to the development of the ZPEC Group Company.     

Debao Wang, Platform Manager of ZPEC Drilling Team 11, described the advanced deeds of the team in sticking to their posts in the past year and shared their experiences in epidemic prevention and control, speed and efficiency, and safe production, including: the intense cultivation in technical management and production organization, continuous summary of experience, technological innovation, and high-quality and efficient over-fulfillment of the annual production tasks under the premise of ensuring safe construction.  Jie Ruan, representative of ZPEC Offshore Oil Engineering and Technical Service Company, said that the various crises of the company were full of bitterness, but the company’s efforts to overcome numerous difficulties and do everything possible to charter flights for employees to return to the country have brought infinite hope to all employees. He has witnessed the sincere care of the company’s leaders for employees, and he has also seen the "comrades in arms" attacking the difficulties. With such a leadership and team, the company will surely be united in the future to create brilliance again.
