At 9:00 pm on June 26^th, Well YB014-H06, drilled by the ZPEC Drilling Team 9, was successfully completed. The drilling cycle was 53.54 days and the completion cycle was 61 days. That was 24 days ahead of the design schedule, breaking the Yanchang Petroleum Company Record at the Long Gas Production Plant in Shaanxi, China.

Well YB014-H06 is the fifth well deployed by Party A at this well site. During the drilling of the previous wells, leakage occurred at varying degrees, and the mechanical speed was not ideal. As a three-dimensional, high-difficulty horizontal well, Well YB014-H06 faced difficulties not only in the current horizontal section, but also in preventing the occurrence of complex situations and how to increase the mechanical speed. The selection of drill bits, mud performance, and drilling parameters all had high requirements.

The drilling started on November 14^th, 2019 and after drilling, cementing, and waiting for setting on November 15^th, the well team took a winter vacation on the 17^th. Affected by the epidemic, work resumed this year more than two months later than in previous years. After the personnel assembled on April 16^th, 2020, the company's arrangements were strictly implemented, focusing on epidemic prevention and production on the one hand, and striving to increase speed and efficiency on the basis of ensuring safety on the other hand.

The leaders of the Project Department and the Technical Team actively communicated and discussed with Party A, compared the geological data of several other wells in this well site, analyzed possible problems, and formulated detailed production plans and practical technical operation plans. During the construction process, everyone strictly organized production, strengthened safety management, strengthened logistical support, strictly followed the block speed-up template and technical requirements, boldly tested new tools, optimized drill tool combinations, optimized drill bits, maintained mud performance, and prevented the occurrence of complex underground accidents, thus realizing the speed and efficiency goals. This focused work resulted in breaking the designed construction of this three-dimensional difficult well by 24 days. During the drilling process, the first drill bit in the second drive had footage of 1,251.90m and the three-opening took 7 days and 22.75 hours, creating new records in the block.

In the case of the downturn in the oil market, the smooth completion of Well YB014-H06 ahead of schedule greatly encouraged all employees of Drilling Team 9. They pledged to continue to make persistent efforts in the subsequent work and to use safe, efficient, and practical new technology and new methodologies to create great results in the future.
