On May 22, the YB015-H02 Well, drilled by ZPEC’s Drill Team 17, was successfully completed with a depth of 4,371 meters  This was 9.69 days earlier than designed, setting the fastest record of horizontal well footage in Yanqi Project. It was highly praised by Party A, Yanchang Petroleum, and Schlumberger.

Since the beginning of this year, Team 17 has strictly followed the requirements of the drilling company’s safety production management system.  While focusing on epidemic prevention and safety management throughout the well construction and its 1,200 meter horizontal section, it finished drilling ahead of schedule. This achievement is inseparable from the hard work and strong support of all of the project personnel and the well team. Any hidden safety hazards were proactively discovered and dealt with as soon as possible, providing a solid equipment guarantee for smooth drilling. At the same time, the project leadership and the production backbone selected suitable PDC bits to optimize the drilling parameters and increase the ROP, laying a solid foundation for improving the footage.

Up to now, ZPEC Drill Team 17 has drilled 8 wells on this platform. The team continues to work hard to complete all the opportunities assigned for this platform.
