Since July, various areas of ZPEC Drilling Company’soperations have entered into the hot and rainy season, which has brought greatdifficulties.  Therefore, led by DeputyGeneral Manager Li Haidi, the company's leaders actively arranged and deployed tothe production lines additional work supervision to inspect and to ensure safeand efficient production operations.

On July 21^st, Mr. Li Haidi led the staff ofthe relevant departments of Materials, Equipment, and other departments tovisit the wells in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Mongolia area. They inspected the floodprevention work of each rig, the living materials preparation of the logisticsteam, and held a symposium to praise the rigs that had done a good job inheatstroke prevention and flood prevention. He asked all rigs to take the heatstroke and flood prevention work asthe top priority for each month during the season.

Mr. Li Haidiasked the project rigs to take targeted measures to prevent flood and mountainslippage according to the location of the well site and he emphasized the needfor cadres on duty, vehicle safety, and electrical safety.  He requested the rig principals to focus onexplaining the importance of prevention in the rainy season to all the staff.  At the same time, the inspection team alsolearned about the heatstroke prevention work of the rigs and asked everyone toprepare sufficient heatstroke prevention drugs and food.  He also spoke to the need of ensuring thenormal use of air conditioning and bathing facilities in the dormitory whileletting all employees eat well, live comfortably, and work safely.

Whilevisiting each rig, the inspection team also learned about the arrangements andprogress made in the areas of materials management, equipment management,safety production, speed-up and efficiency improvement, team management, andteam stability. Mr. Li Haidi stressed that all Units must strictly execute thedaily production plan formulated by the company and to promptly analyze andimmediately report problems, if any difficulty.  The Technology Department and EquipmentDepartment will provide first line support to prevent all abnormal work fromlag and waiting. Finally, Mr. Li Haidi encouraged everyone to hurry up and completeits annual tasks safely and smoothly.
