On April 10^th, after 28 hours ofjoint efforts by all engineering personnel, the Iraq Casing Team completed theTMK PF Casing Operation at the third section of the Eridu-9 Well in the Block10 Project. The first use of this special type of casing was a completesuccess. The team's rigorous work attitude and professional technical levels wereunanimously praised by LUKOIL and the on-site engineers of TMK Company.

The client required that the engineers of TMK Companymust provide on-site guidance.  Thedouble-stage sealed TMK PF type 13-5/8" casing is not a common casingdiameter size, so it was not easy to connect with high operating standards.  Since this was the first time to utilize specialcasing operations, there was no experience and, coupled with the impact of COVID-19,the difficulty of the casing operation was greatly increased. With the supportof the project leaders, the Casing Team saw this challenge as a valuablelearning opportunity.

In order not to affect the work schedule andcause unnecessary stagnation, under the arrangement of the Block10 Project Leader,the Casing Team proactively contacted TMK Company to ensure that themanufacturer's engineers arrive at the site smoothly for guidance before theoperation. At the same time, ZPEC’s operators collected TMK PF type oil casingrelated standards and technical data, and organized the familiarization studybased on the characteristics of TMK PF and connecting requirements. Combined withgood methodology and experience in daily operations, the procedures and planswere formulated in advance to efficiently put the casing into place at onetime. After this operation, the Casing Team concluded a set of mature operationalprocedures for TMK PF casing, thus providing a strong guarantee for thesubsequent operations in this block.
