On April 9^th, the Nigeria 70DB DrillingRig, designed and manufactured by ZPEC Equipment Group, was successfully liftedat ZPEC’s Shanghai Lingang Base. This was another major project of the EquipmentGroup after the Test Well Project and the 750 Workover Rig Project.

The Nigeria 70DB Rig is beautiful in appearanceand is excellent in performance. It is equipped with 450 Traveling Block andthe 375 Rotary Table. The height of the base table is 12 meters, the height ofthe derrick is 48 meters, and the root load is 380 tons. The designers adhereto the principle of "advanced and reliable, safe and applicable", andhave designed and optimized the main components of the drilling rig accordingto the configuration list and customer needs.

The sudden outbreak ofCOVID-19 disrupted the original production schedule, but everyone insisted onpersevering and courageously taking the responsibility. They collaborated witheach other in their respective positions. All departments carried out varioussafety measures and conducted on-site inspection and supervision. The Quality Departmentprepared inspection plans and on-site follow-up measurements while the engineeringand technical personnel carried out careful operations and scientific constructionin accordance with the "Rig Lifting Installation Program". By virtueof the “Iron Army Spirit”, through their dedication and not being afraid ofhardships, they overcame various adverse effects such as untimely supply in epidemicperiods, a short project timeframe, and heavy tasks, thus ensuring the smoothlifting of the rig.
