The FNHW4036 Well, drilled by ZPEC Rig 11, isin the Xinjiang Mahu Oilfield.  Enteringthe second section at 7:00pm on April 3, it achieved a daily drilling progress of1,050 meters in the vertical well section on April 5.  The Mahu Lake Project has recorded the highestdaily drilling progress since the start of construction.

Thedesign depth of the well is 4,460.59 meters, with  a design and construction period of 77 days.  After the technical disclosure of the Kesi Projectand the Mahu Project, the drilling team optimized its parameters with referenceto the adjacent well data, selected the PDC bits most suitable for theformation based on the geological data, and organized the production elites tostudy the engineering design. Through increasing the displacement and adjustingthe weight on bit, while ensuring the drilling trajectory and downhole safety,the drilling speed was greatly increased.Atthe same time, the production organization was fine tuned. All leaders from thedepartments of safety, technology, and other major teams performed theirduties, paid close attention to the key links such as safe construction,on-site operation, equipment operation, etc. Through increased efficiency, thewell’s operating speed increased by 30% compared to the past.  Through strict implementation of variousmeasures, a good foundation was established for setting the record for thehighest daily drilling progress since the start of construction.
