On June 16^th, the Cementing Team of the Malaysia Oil Project received a commendation letter from Party A, giving high praise to its excellent performance in cementing reservoir liner in GA-K97P 7” Well on June 10.

This is another breakthrough in efficient construction after the excellent cementing quality of reservoir casing in GA-K97P 9-5/8" Well, which set the best cementing quality record in the whole Garraf Field. GA-K94P Well is a directional well with a large inclination, which was drilled by ZPEC Drilling Team 25.

The drill bit of 8 1/2" in the four holes was drilled to 4,300 meters with the maximum inclination of 70.58°, which greatly increased the difficulty factor of cementing quality.

According to the actual conditions, the cementing team carefully analyzed and studied, then optimized and adjusted the aspects of pre-liquid system, cement slurry system, centralizer type, placement quantity and cementing construction parameters, and worked out a series of effective technical measures to improve cementing quality. Cementing  Group Chief Engineer and Cementing Division Manager, Tan Hong, Iraq Branch Director YanYaQiang, Malaysian Oil Drilling Project Supervisor Zhong-Qiang Liu, and Drilling Expert Yedda Chen equally and under the guidance of the support people, efficiently and smoothly completed 7" liner in 48℃ heat.  The cementing of the well construction, cementing quality, and cementing's best result in such a high angle well, created the Garraf Oil Well cementing quality best record. Since the beginning of the year, with the support from the leaders and the Iraqi branch of cementing and advance planning, the completion of the BP Block 8, Malaysian Oil Project, has been very high quality and successful in Iraq’s hot land .
