On August 29^th, ZPEC Group President Chen Qingjun and his party went to Iraq on behalf of the group leaders to express cordial appreciation to the front-line workers and to inspect and guide their work.  Mr. Chen encouraged the employees to face their difficulties and to continue to make persistent efforts to carry forward the "iron and blood journey" working spirit in order to make the Iraqi market continue to grow stronger and bigger.

Mr. Chen and coworkers visited the Basra staff dormitory, restaurant, office, and other places of the branch.  They communicated with each other in a friendly way and learned about working overseas and living conditions.  They told the project leaders to care about everyone's life and provide strong logistic support for the front-line staff. Then, Mr. Chen and the branch leadership team held a cordial exchange.  He pointed out that this year the Iraq branch personnel had overcome various difficulties beginning with six new projects, launching eight other projects, and drilling eleven new wells.  Each big oilfield has efficient drilling in process and workover operations going smoothly, creating the company’s largest scale and highest output records.  Then, he encouraged everyone to continue to promote the spirit of "Iron Army" bringing their teamplay efficiencies to the Iraqi market.

Early in the morning of the 30^th, accompanied by LuJingWen Group Vice President and others, Mr. Chen went to the Rumaila Materials Base for an inspection visit.  After a brief lunch, Mr. Chen and his party, accompanied by BP Project Manager Fu Jiancheng, came to the drilling site of company well R697.  He went on the drilling floor to carry out technical exchanges with the driller, went into the warehouse to check the compliance of accounts and standardized management work, and put forward further requirements for work standardization.  Finally, Mr. Chen and the team had a deep discussion on technology and management personnel.  Mr. Fu JianCheng said that they had faced underground complex leakage dangers, such as large displacement, which is very difficult.  But that they stayed active to find a way to solve the problem and finally obtained  outstanding results.  After hearing the project report, Mr. Chen said the BP Project was “equipped with good and solid manpower. The workers here are brave and yet intelligent. We must keep working hard and continue this good performance.  ZPEC’s goal is to be number one.  Therefore, we should not only do internal comparison, but must compare internationally with foreign companies.  We must continue to unceasingly summarize our technical results, brainstorm, guide our drilling soldiers with full spirit, and give encouragement to those who dare to speak their opinions in order to improve team effectiveness."
