On January 22, 2019, the ZPEC Work Conference of 2019 and the Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony was held in Shanghai at ZPEC’s global Lingang Base Headquarters.  By summarizing the achievements of 2018 and deploying the tasks in 2019, all staff became unified in their understanding and clarified in their upcoming goals.  The conference encouraged everyone to focus on profit-making, innovation, and striving to strengthen the management level, resulting in the company's stable and long-term development.
 

A total of 300 people from the Group's leadership team, headquarters staff, representatives of each branch, advanced departments, and advanced individuals attended the meeting.  Employees from the overseas projects also participated via video conferencing. The meeting was hosted by Group CEO Zhang Yun and Senior Vice President Li Shiguang.

President of ZPEC Group, Chen Qingjun, delivered a keynote report entitled, “Intensifying Assessment, Strengthening System Management, and Overall Enhancing the Innovation and Effectiveness Level of Zhongman Group”, in which he stated that 2018 was a very unusual year in the development of Zhongman Group.  Taking advantage of the Group's listing and the recovery of the international oil and gas industry, the Group actively promoted its development and achieved a series of new breakthroughs and new progress. On behalf of the Group's leadership team, he expressed sincere gratitude to all the staff. He summarized the company's outstanding achievements from 13 aspects in market development, engineering project operations, equipment manufacturing innovations, exploration and business development, team construction, HSE system construction, and logistics support capabilities.  The spirit of giving and fighting was highly emphasized in his report.

Lastly, Chairman Li Chundi pointed out that the main strategic task of the company in the next stage is “upgrading and transformation”.  He made several important points:

l The equipment manufacturing sector should do a good job in product, service, and technology upgrades and strive to reach the domestic first-class level.

l The drilling engineering sector should adhere to the "grasping three basic principles, reaching to three standards", of building a good team, optimizing the mechanism, thus achieving and enhancing the effectiveness and profit-making capabilities. 

l The Group should expand achievements of the emerging businesses such as exploration and natural gas sales, and implement the strategic goals of opening and connecting the upstream and downstream industrial chain while realizing the transformation of leading businesses.

The conference commended the advanced departments and individuals that emerged from various units in 2018.  In ending the Conference, President Chen Qingjun signed the 2019 Business Target Responsibility document with the heads of each of the branches and business units.
