On March 6-8th, Group Chairman Li Chundi, accompanied by the Deputy General Manager Chen Qing-jun, spent time at Iraq’s Basra Oil Field, expressing the company's care to the dedicated ‘soldiers’ who have stuck with the overseas production line for the Russian gas project.  He appreciated the excellent results over the past three years and encouraged everyone to continue to keep ZPEC’s positive spirit in order to create more high-quality projects.

During the evening of March 6th, despite an exhausting day, Mr. Li and Project Manager Li Huifeng, visited the logistics and technical services unit workers.  Seeing the orderly working environment and everyone’s positive attitude, Mr. Li was delighted.  He pointed out that the success of this integrated service project is the result of people's joint efforts.  He stated that they would not only find the foothold in world-class drilling market difficult, but also need to continue to further develop their advanced technical services teams at the same time.

On March 7th, Mr. Li went to visit the four ZPEC drilling crews belonging to Russian gas project.  To each drilling crew, he personally went on the drill floor to check the site construction and equipment operation.  He urged everyone to strictly implement specifications and to pay attention to production safety.  He expressed the desire for the young people to learn from the best driller, SuiJianBo, and to rapidly mature into a comparable talent.  He also praised Team 19 for their excellent abilities with older equipment, creating new records.  At the symposium held among all four drilling crews, Mr Li stressed that the Russian gas project runs successfully because of good leadership and strong teams.  He said that this was the wealth of ZPEC.  Even during the "winter" of the international oil and gas market downturn, the Russian gas project made outstanding contributions.  He thanked everybody for their hard work.  Mr. Li pointed out the exciting current development situation, hoping that everyone kept a cautious attitude and did everyone’s best in the new market environment.  Being mindful of costs, safety, technology, and purchasing will continue to bring better drilling results and create greater value for ZPEC.
