On February 9th at 11:00am local time, with the bit slowly rotating, ZPEC Team 25 successfully spudded Salman-1 Well of the Block 12 Project, located in Iraq's Al-Muthanna Province. This marks the first overseas integrated service project for well prospecting, opening a new field of international business development for the company.
On that day, the owner of Iraq's South Oil Company (SOC), Ajel Abdalussain, and the General Manager of BASHNEFT, Nikolay Seergin, with ZPEC’s Deputy General Manager, Chen Qing-Jun, led the spudding ceremony. There were many other representatives from the local government and the community who also came to participate in the activities. Every one gave a positive evaluation for ZPEC’s organizational abilities and work performance, wishing the Block 12 Project in Al-Muthanna Province success in creating even better results.
Salman-1 Well has a designed well depth of 4,250 meters. It is located in the remote desert, making logistics work very difficult, It provides a great test for the company’s operational and logistics capabilities. (Reported by Lin)
