While many Chinese traditionally get together to celebrate the New Year and Lantern Festival, ZPEC’s Shell Project teammates gave up their annual opportunity for their family reunions to work overtime on this crucial project.

 

High standards and strict requirments of the Shell Project are a test for ZPEC’s equipment manufacturing capacity and drilling engineering construction level.  On February 11, 200 people continued to work through the Lantern Festival to complete rectification debugging before the third party’s inspection. Team 28’s 70d Rig and XJ750 Workover Rig and Team 29’s 70d Rig were assembled on site.  From south to north, these three rigs are all busy at the same time with support and rectification work. Team 18’s leader, Lin Weihua, said: "In order to pass the acceptance of the Shell Project and to create better benefits for ZPEC, our tired work is worthy."

 

In the workshop, everyone continued to work hard, without any slacking off.  Ma Weiwei, operating the flame cutting machine as the first step in the workshop, said: " If I don't do my work quickly, then they can’t do the next work.  Although I can't be with my family, my family does understand."

 

On the same day, the men of the Logistics Department cooked a special meal, yuanxiao, for the overtime workers, allowing them to spend a memorable holiday during the intense overtime work. (Reported by Yang Runqi)
