On January 25th, Group Deputy General Manager Qing-Jun Chen arrived in Iraq to deliver greetings during the Spring Festival to the production line workers, sending blessings to them on behalf of the Group Leader, Li Chundi.  He thanked them for making outstanding contributions to the Group, and also the project and drilling crew leaders for the safety production environment and logistics services. His wish to all was to have a happy and peaceful New Year.

In 2016, in the context of the global oil industry recession, the Russian gas project achieved an excellent performance record and a double harvest reputation.  Seeing the scene, with management in place and the team morale very high, Mr. Chen was very happy.  He said: "I thank you on behalf of Mr. Li and the Group Leadership.  You are the backbone of the company and we hope that we can focus on our work, sticking to all of our jobs.  Together we must do a good job in safety and security next year to everyone’s approval!"

The team was presented Mr. Li’s annual progress report and Mr. Chen was pleased to point out that the Russian gas project team was not only already well-proven, but was also good at continuing to learn and daring to innovate.  Everybody wants to maintain a continuous learning attitude closely around the group's strategic development policy, thus performing much greater in 2017.

Mr. Chen learned the ZPEC Team 26 Security Officer Hai-Jun Jiang was planning to be married and he desired the blessings from the company leaders and colleagues.  Immediately Mr. Chen brought together the Project Manager Zhao, the Platform Manager Chen Xiaorong, and the entire Team 26 to record a video expressing to Mr. Jiang season's greetings and sincere wishes.  Mr. Chen said: "Everyone is your most powerful relative and friend, as a new era of an oil army, we feel very proud.  We hope you will propser now and in your later life."

At the project base, Mr. Chen visited the technical services team and pointed out that 2016 was the year of rapid development for them.  They made outstanding contributions in mud, mud logging, cementing, well completion, well logging and casing.  He wished for an expanded, more mature technology, hoping they can be proud and avoid arrogance in 2017.

Mr. Chen encouraged everybody.  In 2017, the overall development of optimism, under the joint efforts of all staff, continues to be a big step.  With the coming of the New Year and the new project launch, he expects everyone to be the best in his own position and to contribute his own strength for his long term career with ZPEC.
