On June 13, in the construction of Well Ding5185, ZPEC Team 1 sets a new daily drilling footage record of 1140m for ZPEC Drilling Company, which breaks the previous record set by this team on May 24 and makes the number 16m increased.

Since this year, the Drilling Company launches the working emulation campaign, themed as “Strive in the first half year, to have the initiative of the whole year”. Each team catches up with each other to try to be the first. Many Daily Records and Monthly Records are being broken in succession. In the present excellent situation, Lei Guangxue, the Leader of Team 1, encourages the members going all out “to break records; to achieve good performance”. By means of substantial experience built up in construction and well understanding of technical parameters of neighbor wells, Team 1 optimized a drilling tools combination scheme in coordination with its geologic environment. To put safety at the first place, taking effective measures such as strictly control the production, speed promoting and well organizing, Team 1 speeds up the production rhythm and set the new record as 1124m on May 24, which they have been longing for.

On June 7, Mr. Li, the President of ZPEC makes a special trip to the new site of Team 1 to convey greetings to the team member when he was investigating at ZPEC Drilling Company. The team members are inspired by President’s visit. When Mr. Li asked if there be possibility that Team 1 can drill faster and break another record, they expressed their determination to keep up the good work and never disappoint the expectation of the company. On June 10, when Well Ding5185 enters first section drilling, Team 1 had well prepared for the production in advance, convoked a pre-production meeting to stress the safety and the interface and organization of works. Engineering team members of Team 1 went to well site and worked together. The crew members joined forces and combine effort, on June 13, after 24 hours’ fight, the previous daily progress drilling record maintained by Team 1 has been successfully rewritten by them.
