On August 26, KPEM’s “Development Project of Integrated Synchronizing Rig-up Type AC-VFD-AC Drilling Rig”, passed the appraisal of experts from Commerce Department and Finance Department of Government of Sichuan Province.

KPEM budgeted 3,500,000 Yuan for this project and actually invested over 5,000,000 Yuan. It is supported with government funds by Commerce Department, Finance Department and other departments of Sichuan Province in its process of development. Lasting for 11 months’ development and by the process including project demonstration, module configuration, product designing, technical identification, production, and performance testing and achievement appraisal, the new product has features of mature, stable, technical advantage, humanization design, and etc.  Advanced in synchronizing rig-up, there is no need to replace the rig-up line. Therefore the working strength can be reduced and efficiency enhanced in the installation of drilling rigs. At the same time, equipments on rig floor can be installed at lower position, so the difficulty for installation reduced at the same time for a safer and more reliable installation method. The design of module structure is convenient to rig moving and installation as well.

   The report on project development and on the use of funds is given to experts in the symposium at the same day. After reviewing the materials on technical and financial, the experts had a discussion. They gave high evaluation of the use of funds, materials collection, technical specification of the product and marketing prospect. Finally, they gave their unanimous consent.

   After receiving the Quality Certificate of Acceptance from the experts, Gu Chuangye, the ZPEC vice president and KPEM general manager, expressed that KPEM will devote all-out efforts to promote technical innovation and contribute to upgrading China’s manufacturing of petroleum equipment.
