On the morning of April 16, after a fine organization and careful preparation, the Gazprom project successfully completed the lifting of the first rig.  This marked the completion of the ZPEC Gazprom project preparation work and the entering of the countdown stage to production .

At 10:00 am, with the order of Chen Xiaorong, Rig Manager of ZPEC Drilling Team 16, the machine base slowly began lifting, climbing to 10 meters high.  After on-site installation and commissioning, the rig stands in the center of Gazprom Badra Oilfield P5 Project.

As the first rig for overseas EPC drilling project, ZEPC Rig 16 overcame multiple difficulties in the early stages of the project, yet always maintained high morale.  Most of the team has been involved in domestic rig support work and are very familiar with each piece of equipment and all accessories.

Project Manager Zhao Yanjun said, "The EPC project is a rare opportunity as well as a challenge.  We must firmly grasp this opportunity to continue to demonstrate ZPEC as being a world-class drilling contractor and spread the ZPEC brand in the Middle East and the whole world".
