On December26^that 4:00pm Iraqi Time, Rig 19 completed the installation of the Ga - A14P well X-tree, which is the second bag well of the PETRONAS Project.  The successful pressure test marked a well completion cycle that was 9 days faster than the first well due to the increased drilling speed.

 

The Ga - A14P well spudded in on November 8^that 4:00pm and finished drilling on December 12^that 2:00am with a total depth of 2,913 meters, a drilling cycle of 34.32 days.  It was completed on December 26^that 4:00pm with a well completion cycle of 48 days, which was 12 days ahead of the design cycle. The total depth of the first bag Well of PETRONAS Project was 2,700 meters with a well completion cycle of 69 days.

 

In the construction of Ga - A14P Well, the Rig 19 Drilling Team utilized their experience from the first well and vigorously promoted the safety management, equipment management, team management, and production management, which laid the solid foundation for the smooth, fast, high quality completion. They adhered to the principles, such as "strengthen the advanced consciousness and overall arrangement", carefully analyzing each working procedure and overall process.  Included were the advanced production organization and tools preparation before construction, properly allocated personnel strength with each post duty and goals clear in order to ensure continuous and efficient construction.

 

After the construction of the two wells of PETRONAS Project, the Rig 19 Drilling Team had developed a strong cohesion and combat effectiveness style. The technical quality and management level had grown into a very skillful international team which, at present, is working intensively on Ga - A15P’s relocation work for its third well.
