On the morning of January 22, Zhongman Petroleum Equipment Company successfully hoisted its 70D Rig for Petro-King at the Lingang Equipment Base.  This is the new base’s first rig after the completion.  Its splendid appearance marks the company's equipment manufacturing capability in a new era.

 

At 10:18 in the morning, the 46.5 meter headframe began to rise slowly, firmly standing on the base after 14 minutes.  Then the headframe on the folded base was slowly pulled up and, 12 minutes later, the red and white stood proudly at about 60 meters high on the wide site.  ZPEC’s leaders and all factory staff participated in and watched the rig hoisting ceremony.

 

The importance to the company of delivering this boutique rig demanded that the leadership carefully follow its construction, continually monitoring all steps and processes during the rig’s manufacturing.  All relevant departments were in strict accordance with the API standards for quality control.  Each working procedure flowed into the next working procedure only after total quality inspection, thus ensuring its quality and the efficient completion of the rig.
